Project: Bold eclecticism on Bajcsy street
-
Location: Budapest

Designer: Róbert Weiner
The interior of the Bajcsy Street apartment could not better reflect the atmosphere of its location, blending the modern downtown vibrancy with the period elegance of the Ulrich House, built in 1912.
The white, homogeneous walls, adorned with Art Deco stucco, subtly reference the celebrated early 20th-century style, without overpowering the space, and make room for furniture that carries modern forms and textures. Velvet clearly takes center stage as an element of sophistication, appearing throughout the apartment: taupe-colored Lex dining chairs provide comfort, while the Art Deco-inspired, veneered acacia Class sideboard, decorated with brass elements, fulfills the storage function. A standout accessory is the industrial-style Vino wine cabinet, which boldly breaks the formality and prevents the overall look from becoming too crowded.
In the living room, the minimalist black metal Float coffee table is a perfect match, while the larger bedroom features the grey fabric Bar lounge chair. Stepping out onto the balcony, we can relax in the Ella garden chair and embrace the city’s hustle and bustle by day, and its captivating view by night.
