Penthouse Apartment on Dalszínház Street
This apartment, over 300-square-meter penthouse apartment is situated in an exclusive location directly opposite the Hungarian State Opera House. Originally, the property had a gloomy and uninspiring atmosphere, but it underwent a complete transformation at the request of its Colombian-American owner. Every surface was revamped: all the flooring was replaced, the walls were repainted, all lighting fixtures were upgraded to modern solutions, and over 300 square meters of space were furnished, wallpapered, and decorated.
The kitchen was renewed with brand-new Italian design elements, while the terraces also received a total makeover. The interior design combines Scandinavian minimalism with colorful yet harmonious and homely touches. On the rooftop terrace, an outdoor hot tub was installed. The process of craning the hot tub into place required a temporary closure of a section of Andrássy Avenue, and the structural reinforcement of the terrace alone took six months to complete. The cost of the transformation was remarkably reasonable, considering the property’s value and the high expectations of its owner.
