Hercegasszony Castle: A Timeless Elegance by the Körös River
Located near Mezőtúr on the banks of the Holt-Körös, the Hercegasszony Estate carries a rich history. Originally gifted as a wedding present to Archduke Albrecht of Habsburg and his wife, Irén Lelbach, the estate’s name and ambiance pay homage to the duchess herself. The atmosphere of the estate evokes the elegance and lifestyle of the 1930s upper class.
The interior design plans were crafted by Cecília Lovas, an acclaimed interior designer. Her vision was to create a unique ambiance that both honors the noble heritage and meets contemporary needs with a modern touch.
During the redesign of the Hercegasszony Hotel, a modern approach was applied to this historic building. The innovative interior concept was inspired by the essence of cities like Barcelona, Milan, and Paris, where tradition blends seamlessly with avant-garde design. While preserving the historical value, contemporary architectural and interior design elements were incorporated, resulting in a distinctive and inimitable atmosphere.
The hotel's website describes this transformation as a harmony of respect for historical values and modern, unique solutions. We were thrilled to contribute to the creation of this extraordinary hotel by incorporating IDdesign’s products into its stunning interiors.
