My client fell in love with this high-ceiling downtown apartment for its excellent location and the stunning view of the Citadella. Currently, the property is intended for long-term rental to discerning international students, but in a few years, it will be occupied by the owner’s daughter and her roommates. As such, the request was to create a feminine design with three bright, fully functional living spaces (bedrooms) and sufficient storage solutions.
I was given full creative freedom for the renovation. The originally single-bathroom property underwent a complete spatial transformation. Maximizing the sense of space was a key priority during the renovation. Nearly all of the original walls were repositioned, allowing us to create a bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub, a second bathroom with a shower and toilet, and an additional separate washroom. The goal was to ensure that the three individual young adults could comfortably prepare for their day simultaneously.
The color palette features soft blush pink, gentle blue, and olive green tones, accentuated with gray and black to add character and depth. The French herringbone-patterned wooden flooring adds warmth, vibrancy, and a playful dynamic to the space. Since the communal areas had limited natural light, I designed a breakthrough with a window-like opening in the wall between the living room and the adjoining bedroom to let more natural light flow into the living room.
The client’s wife and daughter, who will be the future resident of the apartment, saw the property for the first time since its purchase only after the photoshoot. The fully renovated and beautifully furnished interior was a delightful surprise for them and immediately won their approval. The greatest honor for me is that we are already collaborating on a new project together.
